Wigley Law Halves Time & Trees with 365 & Sharepoint

Wigley Law Practice Manager, Nadine Haines, was looking for a new IT service provider. The practice had already migrated to 365, implemented WorkflowMax and converted their accounting to Xero, but their aging document management system was unsurprisingly struggling to keep up with the direction the practice was headed. A google search prompted Nadine to meet with Sharepoint specialists, IT Engine.

IT Engine’s Business Manager and Sharepoint aficionado, Roland Tuck suggested Nadine attend one of IT Engine’s regular basic training courses for Sharepoint. Feeling inspired post-training, Nadine explained her document management problems to Roland who quickly gathered requirements to construct a proof of concept in under an hour. Being a traditional law firm using a client number/matter number document index, Roland’s concept for Wigley Law needed to meet the needs of the consultants for easy creation of new matter numbers, easy search functionality for existing documents as well as a creditors and debtor system, allowing invoices to be approved for payment online.

As users of WorkflowMax, Xero and now Sharepoint, Roland’s solution is readying the practice for a fully integrated system, allowing Wigley Law to become early adopters of the integration as soon as it is available. For now, this streamlined and safe concept for document and accounts management, is saving Nadine at least 50% in administration time and the consultants are delighted with the solution that allows them efficient matter number creation, lightening fast search for existing documents, invoice approval and attractive print cost savings.
